CLASS IN SESSION
101 BEGINNER’S
This class is for the novice. We begin with ground school: safety, theory, equipment, set-up and pre-flight. Next, we go off-shore to the sandbar and cover: launching/landing procedures, hooking in, un-hooking, safety release systems, the wind window, edge of the window, power zone, up-wind body-drag, power body-drag, squaring up and riding.
Beginners classes can range from one to four lessons. The 3-pack is recommended.
201 INTERMEDIATE
This class is for those who have had some level of kiteboarding experience. We begin with a short 101 overview and focus on areas that need attention. This is a popular class for those who are still learning to ride up-wind on a consistent basis. This class generally includes: riding up-wind, kite position, power strokes, edging, body position, speed control, ride lines, turning/transitions and some jumps.
301 ADVANCED
This class is for kiteboarders who are consistently staying up-wind and want to improve their skills. Your instructor will focus on areas that need attention and you let them know what you want to work on. This class generally includes: speed control, timing, loading the lines, no whip jumps, ride out jumps, kite whip jumps, spins, transitions, rolls, hot/parachute landings, grabs, high/low kite loops, handle passes, sliders and style.
